2. â–º In the Next Few ºÝºÝߣs we will present the construction of the Music
Video such as Adding Effects and Transitions, alongside even
converting and saving the File in Different Formats, So there is ease in
Viewing the Video.
3. â–º Throughout the Music Video, we have used a Huge Variety of Video
Transitions to Give the Music Video Professional Quality look and most
Importantly, Merge Together the Different Clips and Scene to Create
Flow within the Music Video. In This Specific Screenshot you can see
Zafraan inserting ‘Cross Dissolve’ Video Transition. The Cross Dissolve
has a absolutely Beautiful effect, that Creates Such Flow that its almost
impossible not to Comment on It. We Used it To Merge in to Very
Difficult Clips, By This we Mean two Clips That Were Quite Difficult to
Merge and needed some Extra Work To Make them Look Right
Together.
Here Zafraan is integrating two
Clips from the Chorus as well as
editing the Size of the Transition.
We Tried to Use A variety of shots
and Effects to Keep the Target
Audience Entertained.
4. This Screenshot shows Zafraan Inserting a Clip into the
Timeline Ready for Some Editing, With additions Like
transitions and Video effects to match with the Quality and Flow
off the Other Clips. Here he is Inserting one of the Clips from
the Hospital Scenes. This was done by first importing the Clip in
to the Program, then clicking desired clip and drag onto the
Timeline.
5. Editing With Effect
In our opinion a Music Video without Effects is Not a Music Video At All,, and many Would Agree who have
any understanding in Creating and watching Music Videos, That The Effects on the Video is akin to Clothing, or
Just like ‘Pimpin’ out the Video, Giving it Some sunglasses, a few chains and rings, Some Nike Trainers. We
think that Effects have magic Powers, they Can Change the Atmosphere, The Moods and even in some cases,
where used with Care and Skill, even Change Meaning and Representations of the Whole Clip. In our Music
Video we have incorporated a Huge Variety of Effects to totally Transform the Movie from a Boring Bunch of
Clips into a Professional Music Video with, Excitement, Emotion and Most essentially, Meaning. In addition to
this, Effects can adjust to the manner people Interpret things and How they are Represented. In this Screenshot
Specifically, The Effect that is being added and attuned is ‘Light Rays’ Which gives a Flashback and, ‘Shock’
Effect which immediately, Through Audience Feedback, Creates a sense of ‘Shock and Fear’, Throughout the
Video we have used Effects to alter Moods and Interpretations, in how they observe Clips.
6. TimeLine Editing
This screenshot is showing us Editing the Timeline, to be specific, Zafraan is actually
cutting down a Clip to fit into the Timeline by Dragging the Edge and then cutting it
down to size. It is essential that the Clips are cut down and Put in the Right Places,
This way all the Lip Synching is in time, thus this will distinguish the amateur from a
pro with Professional Quality Video Undoubtedly.
7. This Screenshot is showing us Editing the Soundtrack to the Music
Video, By Giving Ending the Song by a Cross fade Effect which will
eventually sound like the song Fading Out. Without a Shadow of a
Doubt this gives the Music Video its Final Touches, its almost like the
‘Cherry top’, This was the Last thing done after the Collage for the
Last Chorus.
8. After finishing the Music Video It had to be Saved in Certain Formats. Here, It
is showing the saving Process as we wanted it to play in all formats, and
therefore saved it as a AVI and MP4. For better Quality we used AVI and for
the Internet and MP4 Version. It is Essential that the Video can be Played in all
formats so its easier for the Target Audience to get at, for example if one
Format doesn’t work the Other is Bound To, It is good to Increase and Give
More Options to the Audience, as this will give the Label and Artist a Good
Reputation.
9. Without Rendering, none of the Edited Footage could Be Played,
Every time Zafraan edited or even moved a clip he had to render
the Whole Section, This Screenshot is showing him Rendering a
Transition and Effect. The Clip needs Rendering because it has a
Small Red Line on The Top of the Timeline, then you had to click on
the Clip and then click on sequence on the Toolbar scroll down on to
Render only and Finally Click Render, where The Clip is Now Ready
To play.
10. In Conclusion
Overall We think that we have gained a lot; this experience helped us
Progress Skills In Digital Production and Development and therefore
Developing Skills Learnt in AS. And they, Without a Doubt Created ease
with our Other Production in Tasks like the Promotional Cover and DVD
Cover. Zafraan Has also learnt New things like How To Use Apple Final
Cut Express. We are sure in the Future many of the Skills Learnt Will
come in handy in future careers.
